About UsThe ProprietorChristopher Morris is currently a sole trader and a stock supervisor at a major academic library in the UK. He graduated from Bradford University in the 1970's with a degree in mathematics and embarked on a long career in the library supply trade. Following on from a family tradition of service in the armed forces (which dates back to the 19th century), Chris developed an interest in military history, so initially working from home, he set up Christopher Morris - Bookseller, supplying military, naval and aviation titles. The BusinessChristopher Morris - Bookseller was established by the proprietor in 1995 and traded as a mail-order supplier of books and other media to dedicated markets, beginning with military history and moving into ornithology at the request of loyal customers. The proprietor worked alone and from home for the first three years. From these humble beginnings the business grew and grew. New subjects, more staff and bigger premises were introduced as the client base developed to include an international audience. In 2004 Christopher Morris launched his web initiative. It is planned that they will continue to facilitate a traditional personal service and expand upon it through increased customer contact in the form of the many festivals, exhibitions, trade-fairs and conferences that the proprietor will himself attend over the next year.
